Stainless tracer wire is made with a stainless steel conductor with a high molecular weight high density polyethylene insulator. The main application of stainless tracer wire involves locating natural gas PE pipe. Stainless tracer wire is intended for direct burial use for horizontal directional drilling (HDD) purposes. The stainless steel conductor has a voltage rating of 30 volts. Stainless tracer wire is available in 500’, 1000’, or 2500’ spools. The high molecular weight high density polyethylene (HMW-HDPE) is resistant to crushing, abrasion, chemicals and moisture.
