XLPE Cable

XLPE Insulated Wire & Cable

XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) is a thermoset insulation used on copper conductors for lighting, power, and general electrical applications where durability and electrical performance are critical.

It is flame-retardant, zero-halogen, moisture-resistant, and built to withstand harsh environments.

Why XLPE Insulation Is Used

The cross-linking process creates a three-dimensional molecular bond within the insulation. This structure improves resistance to:

  • Heat deformation
  • Abrasion and physical wear
  • Chemicals and moisture
  • Stress cracking over time

XLPE also has “shape memory,” allowing it to return to its original form when exposed to heat after deformation.
